I have been thinking a lot about all my customers coming into my store and looking for that magic driver or irons that will fix their golf game… I hate to tell them but if they hit the ball 200 yards they probably won’t ever hit the ball 250, especially just by switching drivers. The golf manufactures have everyone fooled into thinking when they say their latest driver is LONGER they really mean it is longer by 1-3 yards. Now I don’t know about you but that isn’t a noticeable difference for me. I want to see my results, feel the changes. Not just throw money at some new “magic” club.

So I recently have been talking with some PGA instructors and listing to some pod casts from them. They all agree that the best way to improve your golf game is by investing money into training, not throwing it away on equipment. Now I’m not saying that making a change is a bad thing… I think every golfer needs to have the right equipment for their game. But it is hard for me to think that when a customer comes into my shop and wants a new putter then trades it 3 weeks later that it actually is the putters fault. I feel like I’m just getting used to my putter and I have had it since the season began. I just don’t think people give their equipment enough time and training enough thought.

So I have been doing research to find some good products and have found some great items that will hopefully help you out… As you all know I am a firm believer that the short game is the key to good golf… So I found some great DVD’s to help.
